Manual registration will be a thing of the past soon as the government plans to only use MySejahtera app as the method of recording personal data.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof said the government is looking at whether they can enforce it as law.
Redzuan also said that as of 16 August, 15.1 million users have registered under MySejahtera and the app has succesfully detected 322 out of 9,200 Covid-19 cases in the country.
The application is to help the government detect Covid-19 patients by declaring their own health status. Users will have to fill questions relating to their health and travel information when they first register to use the app based on the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the Health Ministry,

The smartphone app received an upgrade recently, allowing users to check in their dependents simultaneously when signing-in at premises.
Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the function would speed up the mandatory registration process.
