A local mamak restaurant in Kuala Lumpur has been ordered to temporarily shut down its operations for 2 weeks after 2 of their employees were suspected to contract Covid-19.

This was after a random screening exercise was done involving the 2 foreign workers, who are Indian nationals, on 15 August.

Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that sanitation and cleaning works will be done at the restaurant under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988.

It’s reported that both of them have been transferred to Hospital Sungai Buloh on 15 August.
