Two villages in Kuala Sanglang, Perlis have been placed in a 28-day Targeted Enhanced Movement Control Order (TEMCO) from August 8, 2020, onwards.
Residents at Kampung Kuala Sanglang and Kampung Tanah Timbul will be under full lockdown and would have to abide by stay-at-home orders.
Entry in and out of the villages would be restricted, and much like it was during the nationwide Movement Control Order (MCO) period, only the head of the household would be allowed to leave the house and move about to get daily necessities and supplies.
Furthermore, only essential service personnel would be allowed to go about their business there during the TEMCO.
Reportedly, both villages are being screened for Covid-19 and residents must comply with being quarantined at home after being tested.
Several areas in the state of Kedah, Perlis, and Penang have been placed under TEMCO following Kedah’s Sivagangga cluster outbreak which the Health Director-General Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said could be a highly infectious strain of the coronavirus because of the speed of its spread.
