Dr Mahathir Forms Another Unnamed Bumiputera-Based Party
He said the party would not be tied to any existing coalition.

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has formed yet another Malay-based party which has yet to be named as they have to refer to the Registrar of Societies.
“It is not our intention to form so many parties,” he said listing out the other Malay-based parties of UMNO, PAS and BERSATU.
So many of the parties have strayed away from the reasons they were formed.

He said Bersatu was formed to fight and bring down Najib’s kleptocratic administration.
Despite having the support of the rakyat, Dr Mahathir said the party president had hijacked the party and joined forces with their original enemies of UMNO and PAS.
Dr Mahathir said because of this, they had to form a new party in order to contest in elections under the same symbols in different constituencies.
We are going to contest in the Slim election.

He also said members of this new party are not guaranteed any posts or position in the government should they win elections, would be as inclusive and moderate as possible, and would uphold integrity, and fight against corruption and kleptocracy.
The new party would also not be tied to PN or PH.
We wanted to work with PH but we had some problems with the different parties in PH. I don’t want to mention it, but I think you all know.

Among the members, Dr Mahathir said, were the 6 ousted Bersatu officers, the Bersatu Blackout faction and 3 state Assemblymen.
Dr Mahathir also mentioned that the temporary party president is his son Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir.
