Another Covid-19 Cluster Detected In Sarawak

The Malaysian Health Ministry (MOH) reports the emergence of a new Covid-19 infection cluster in Sarawak.
Officially dubbed the ‘Stutong cluster’, MOH said that two new positive cases were detected as of July 18 originating from an outbreak at the Stutong Community Market.
According to the Health Director-General Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, 218 locals and foreign individuals working at the market have been screened.
The market is also temporarily shut down for cleaning and sanitation works.
Additionally, another positive case was identified as part of the Mambong cluster, also in Sarawak, adding up to a total of five cases.

Along with another four imported cases recorded today, as of July 18 Malaysia’s total infection count for Covid-19 stands at 8,764 with 122 fatalities.
