Popular local YouTube duo Sugu Pavithra found themselves speechless when meeting Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in person for the first time.
The 28-year-old housewife and her husband were attending the launch of the 50th anniversary of Rukun Negara in Putrajaya yesterday (9 July) after receiving a special invitation to the event.

Speaking to reporters after the launch, Pavithra shared how a simple question from the Prime Minister had sent her heart racing, and for a moment was even rendered speechless.
Although not the first exchange between the two, Pavithra admitted that she was nervous to meet Muhyiddin in person for the first time.

Previously, Muhyiddin had also sent Sugu and Pavithra, who are from Sungai Siput, Perak, a gift hamper which included a camera tripod, microwave oven, rice cooker, and other cooking utensils and a letter expressing his support in their hard work.
The duo, looking stylish with Pavithra rocking a blue and gold Punjabi suit and Sugu head-to-toe in black, conveyed how important the Rukun Negara is to them. Part of their fame was due to Pavithra’s ability to speak fluent Malay and decision to narrate her cooking videos in the national language.
The Rukun Negara is the foundation to strengthen unity.
