For millions around the globe, working from home is part of the new normal in the pandemic era. But instead of sitting inside a stuffy apartment, Bali Tourism wants you to work from home – in Bali.
The Indonesian island’s economy has been devastated by the travel bans and lockdowns in reaction to the pandemic. But as the situations improve and economic sectors open up, The Bali Sun reports that Bali Tourism is getting ready to welcome digital nomads and those who work online when the island reopens.
Deputy Governor of Bali Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati, aka Cok Ace, says that Bali will be a strategic place for tourists who want to work since they have the facilities and the beauty.
If it all goes to plan, the popular holiday spot plans to reopen its borders to international visitors in September.
However, if Bali is too far or September too late, George Town in Penang Island is listed as ‘The 10 Best Destinations for Digital Nomads’ in a survey amongst digital nomads and remote workers.

Happy holidays working!
