Cinemas, Theatres, And Live Shows Can Reopen On 1 July

Cinemas have been closed since the Movement Control Order (MCO), but there’s now finally a chance to return to the silver screens.

In his briefing today, Senior Minister (Defence) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that all cinemas, theatres, and live events will be allowed to resume operations beginning on 1 July.

However, the SOPs must be followed strictly; all visitors must comply with temperature checks and register their name and number before entering.

The events can only be held in closed halls with no more than 250 individuals and attendance is also subject to the size of the location.
