Perak aims to restart its tourism industry as the state will be offering the #TravelPerakLah voucher for discounts on selected hotels and tourism products.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu said for the first phase, 1,500 vouchers worth RM30 and RM50 have been distributed to industry players registered with Tourism Perak.

Currently, there are 25 hotels and 10 tourism products that have registered with Tourism Perak for that purpose.

He also said since the state reopened for domestic tourism on 10 June, as of 17 June, there are 2,695 rooms in 58 hotels in Perak that have been booked.

Bernama reported that the first phase of the voucher is valid from 1 July up to 30 Nov.

The vouchers can be redeemed after the second visit to any registered hotel or tourism spots.
