Malaysia Hits New Covid-19 Triumph With 8,000 Total Recoveries & Only One Red Zone Left

Malaysia hit a new triumph in its Covid-19 battle with a total of 8,000 recovered cases.
The Health Ministry broke the happy news today after 127 Covid-19 patients were discharged, pushing the national recovery rate to an impressive 93.8% out of the total 8,529 reported cases.

As of 12 noon today, 18th June, only 14 new cases and zero deaths were reported, so the national death toll stands at 121.
Of the 14 new cases, 11 were from local transmissions and comprised four Malaysians and 7 non-Malaysians.
The four Malaysians are:
- Two staff on duty at Bukit Jalil Immigration Depot in Kuala Lumpur
- One pre-surgery screening patient at Sarawak General Hospital, Kuching
- Screening for a Malaysian set to travel overseas on important matters.
Aside from that, only one red zone remains in the country at Rembau, Negeri Sembilan with 43 active cases.
