We will not see beloved Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah daily anymore, as he will stop holding the everyday press conferences starting Monday.
Dr Noor Hisham and his war generals have been diligently hosting the live press conferences everyday since February 27 except for two days, once on May 9 and once on the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
He assures the people that Covid-19 updates will be published daily, but in a press statement instead. There may be other opportunities to see him at a live broadcast, but it will no longer be an everyday affair.
This decision was made because Covid-19 cases in Malaysia have been steadily declining recently. Infection rates are slowing down and there isn’t as much stress on the healthcare system anymore as the curve has essentially been successfully flattened.
