YAWAS Denies Selangor Giving Out RM3,000 To Senior Citizens

Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor (Yawas) has denied that RM3,000 in cash will be given out to members of the Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE).
Yawas said in a statement that those who are in the scheme will only receive RM100 in shopping vouchers at selected supermarkets according to month of birth.

Recently, it has been circulating on messaging platforms that the Selangor government is giving out RM3,000 to senior citizens.
The message states that those who are born in Selangor or in KL before 1974 would be eligible for the handout.
