People heading to Sabah & Sarawak would not need to undergo Covid-19 testing before entering the two states.

As travel restrictions are lifted under the new Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) period, travelers entering Sabah are now exempted from Covid-19 screenings, however, they are still subjected to follow the government’s Covid-guidelines.

This means that those traveling to the “land below the wind” would need to present all the necessary travel documentation and are no longer subjected to the previously mandatory self-quarantine period.

Meanwhile, the state of Sarawak is also allowing travelers to enter without undergoing Covid-19 testing or quarantine.

Instead, Sarawak will be screening incoming travelers at random, at the state’s many entry points.

The state government is also making it mandatory for travelers to utilize the MySejahtera mobile application while in the “land of hornbills”.
