The National Security Council (MKN) has announced the loosening of interstate travel restrictions from 1st June onwards.

However, this only applies for two exemptions which were revoked prior to the Hari Raya festive period:

  1. Emergencies such as deaths, medical, and work.
  2. Married couples who live in different states for justified reasons

Senior Minister (Defence) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said during his daily press conference that these exemptions also require police approval under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMC).

He also explained that travelling between states is allowed for those who need to work.

We also allow those who need to travel between states for work. For instance, if you live in Seremban but work in Putrajaya.
