Around 2 Million People Worldwide Have Recovered From Covid-19

It seems that around two million people worldwide have successfully recovered from Covid-19.

Based on data from John Hopkins University, which was released on Friday, 22 May 2020, their running tally counted 2,054,125 million recoveries and more than 5,205,900 million confirmed infections globally.

Total deaths due to Covid-19 were at 337,572 people.

Meanwhile, comparing these numbers to those released by the Malaysian Health Ministry (MoH) and the World Health Organisation (WHO), showed similar results.

MOH and WHO noted that as of Friday, 22 May 2020, a total of 1,946,312 million individuals had recovered globally from the pandemic which involved 5,097,944 million infected people.

Meanwhile, 332,425 deaths were recorded.

This means that the global percentage of recoveries is between 38.19% and 39.46%. While the global death rate of Covid-19 is lies somewhere between 6.48% and 6.52%.

Currently, the United States continues to be the country with the most Covid-19 cases and deaths. In terms of confirmed number of cases, this is followed by Russia, Brazil the United Kingdom and Spain.

Malaysia holds the 57th spot globally for number of confirmed cases.

Since being first detected in China in December 2019, Covid-19 has spread to 188 countries worldwide.
