UK-based Dr Nur Amalina Che Bakri, who is currently researching a potential vaccine for Covid-19, has now called up Malaysian clinicians and medical students to help.

She is urging them to join a global research study from PanSurg, a global initiative to deliver education and research to the frontline during the Covid-19 pandemic.

PanSurg was created in recognition of the unparalleled challenges currently facing healthcare systems around the world due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The group of clinicians, surgeons, and academics are aiming to share experiences, policy, data, and research so that delivery of safe, effective surgery can continue during the pandemic.

As we must remember, Covid-19 patients are not the only people who need medical attention during this time. However, the pandemic presents a completely novel threat. That’s why PanSurg’s aim is to make a difference to frontline surgical care in real-time.

Not only that, PanSurg is involved in making realtime risk prediction models to aid surgical decision-making during the Covid-19 pandemic. Accurate precdiction models can only come around with plentiful and concise data, which is why it’s so important for as many healthcare professionals to lend their strength to the project as possible.
