Covid-19: Zero Deaths & Only 36 New Cases Today

Health Director General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah revealed that only 36 new Covid-19 cases were reported today.
Of the 36 cases, 28 patients were foreign nationals.
With the new cases, Malaysia currently has 1,3014 active cases where 14 patients are in intensive care unit (ICU), with 5 on ventilators.
Encouragingly, zero deaths are reported today. So, the national Covid-19 death toll remains at 112.
Dr Noor Hisham also revealed more good news of 88 recoveries from the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 5,439.
This makes Malaysia’s total recovery rate 79.34% – among the highest globally.
Aside from that, he also revealed Malaysia has screened 424,306 individuals as of 15 May – which averages to 13 tests for every 1,000 population, among the highest testing rate in Southeast Asia.
Malaysia currently has a total of 6,855 reported Covid-19 cases.
