Amid the controversy of aid distribution during the pandemic, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri has stepped up to spread a message of unity.
â£When it comes to humanitarian aid, we are “blind†of religion, race and skin colour. That is the spirit of Malaysians. Hopefully, we can get through this test until the end.

He shared the heartwarming message on a Facebook post documenting the Department of Prime Minister (Religious Affairs)’s MUSAADAHCOVID19 aid to a church in Petaling Jaya.
Dr Zulkifli explained that he received a message from Reverend Jonathan Jesudas Petaling Jaya Methodist Church, who informed him of 15 non-Muslim families in need of basic necessities.
He also announced that the department had spent a total of RM132 million throughout the Movement Control Order (MCO) in March and April to distribute aid to over 200,000 muslims and over 2,000 non-muslims.
