To ensure the safety of the public and its staff, McDonald’s Malaysia will be operating under strict social distancing guidelines in efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The company says that its restaurants and outlets will only be receiving cashless payments for its delivery services during the nationwide Movement Control Order (MCO).

Customers may only pay for their McDelivery meals through online transactions, and delivery riders would implement a strict “no-touch” policy while out on their rounds.

After a completed transaction, riders would then contact the customer to set an appropriate place at the customer’s home or residence to leave the order to be collected.

McD also says that delivery personnel (whether its own staff or third-party delivery services like Grab and FoodPanda) are also required to abide by firm hygiene rules by having to wear masks and gloves, and have their temperatures taken before they are allowed to enter an outlet.
