Another market has been ordered to shut due to Covid-19.

This time, it’s the popular Raja Bot market in Chow Kit that’s closed for two weeks from today (29th April) for disinfection while workers will be screened for Covid-19.

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) Corporate Planning Department director Khairul Azmir Ahmad told The Star that a 2-week closure usually means that someone there has been found positive for Covid-19.

He also said that they are certain of an infection at the market, but cannot confirm the number.

The Raja Bot market is expected to remain shut until 13th May and the public is advised to stay away and seek alternatives for fresh produce.

This is the third market in KL that has been closed due to Covid-19 after Selayang Wholesale Market and Pasar Borong Harian Selayang on 21st April.
