8 United Overseas Bank (UOB) branches will be closed starting today (20 April 2020) until the end of the movement control order (MCO), says UOB Malaysia chief executive officer Wong Kim Choong.
The affected branches are located in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Pahang, and Sabah.
These branches are closing due to significantly reduced traffic since the implementation of the MCO. However, all self-service banking facilities will still be available such as the ATMs and cash, cheque, and coin deposit machines. These machines will abide by the new hours set for the MCO, which is 8am to 8pm daily.
The eight branches are:
1. Medan Pasar, Kuala Lumpur
2. Jalan Imbi, Kuala Lumpur
3. Kota Damansara, Selangor
4. Shah Alam, Selangor
5. Ijok, Selangor
6. Raub, Pahang
7. Bentong, Pahang
8. Sandakan, Sabah
The Medan Pasar branch is completely closed, including its self-service machines, because of the enhanced MCO placed on the nearby Masjid India area.
