Zero New Covid-19 Cases In 6 States But Lahad Datu Is New Red Zone

The mandatory movement control order (MCO) is working as 6 Malaysian states recorded no new cases today. Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Kelantan, and Melaka, along with the federal territories of Labuan and Putrajaya, noted that has been no increase of Covid-19 cases.

A few other states recorded single-digit new cases: Terengganu with 1 case, Selangor with 2 cases, Negeri Sembilan with 3 cases, Pahang with 2 cases, and Sarawak with 6 cases.

States that saw a double-digit increase in new cases include Kuala Lumpur with 14 cases, Johor with 16 cases, and Sabah with 10 cases.

Lahad Datu in Sabah is the country’s latest red zone as of yesterday since it recorded 41 cases.

Two more districts in Sabah, Sandakan and Tuaran, are now orange zones as they have recorded 21 new cases.
