After grounding most of their flights in March, AirAsia announced that they will be taking to the skies again at the end of April.

Scheduled domestic flights will resume across several of their Southeast Asian hubs, beginning with Malaysia (29th April), followed by Thailand and Philippines (1st May), India (4th May) and Indonesia (7th May).

We are very pleased to be able to fly again and to serve our guests starting with domestic routes, and hope to resume full operations as soon as possible.

However, the flights are subject to approval from the authorities for selected domestic routes, which will increase gradually to include international flights once the situation improves.

Bo Lingam, AirAsia Group President (Airlines) also stated that they have undertaken a thorough review of passenger handling procedures inlight of the Covid-19 pandemic.

We work actively with all our regulators, local governments, civil aviation and health authorities, including adhering to guidance from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) to ensure the highest standards of compliance and conformance are in place for every single flight we operate in our network.
