To overcome the Covid-19 pandemic, scientists over at Harvard urged that we practice social distancing until 2022.

This is because they see that lockdowns and movement restrictions can only be done once to curb the spread of the pandemic, but the move is ultimately ineffective to reduce the risk coronavirus.

Social distancing is vital, the scientists say, as currently we don’t have a vaccine or drug that can treat the virus effectively.

The group of researchers also predicted that Covid-19 is a seasonal pandemic, relating it to the increase in infections throughout the winter season after running computer generated tests.

What’s grim about the research is that scientists say that it’s probable that this virus will never go away.

The team said it’s highly unlikely that we will develop an immunity that’s strong enough and can last long enough that Covid-19 will die out after an initial wave, as was the case with the SARS outbreak of 2002-2003.
