Covid-19 About To Cross 2 Million Mark Worldwide

Covid-19 is about to hit another grave milestone as the number of cases reported worldwide is reaching 2 million with a death toll of nearly 200,000, according to stats by John Hopkins University.
At the time of writing, the number of cases stood at 1,920,618.
The United States overtakes Italy as the nation with the highest number of deaths with 23,423. Nearly 580,000 cases have been reported in the US, which is almost 5 times more compared to either Italy or Spain.
Spain has allowed their manufacturing and construction sectors to operate again as the death toll is on a downward trend for the past 3 weeks.
In Italy, the death exceeded 20,000 on 13 April but the number of critically ill patients has dropped for the 10th successive day.
Meanwhile, countries in Asia are also struggling with the coronavirus, as the garment industries in Myanmar and Cambodia suffered greatly, with foreign companies cancelling their orders and refusing to bear the costs.

Japan has exceeded 7,000 cases on 12 April with more than 700 confirmed cases with a death toll of 147 people, including 12 from the virus-hit Diamond Princess cruise ship.
As of 13 April, China’s overall confirmed cases on the mainland reached 82,160 with 1,156 patients under treatment, 77,663 discharged after recovery, and 3,341 people who died from the disease.
South Korea reported on 13 April that at least 116 people who were cleared of Covid-19 had tested positive again. The country’s number of cases as to date is now 10,537, with 217 deaths.
