77% Malaysian Find It Difficult To Work From Home – But 9% Said It’s More Productive

Working from home might not suit many Malaysians as a survey by Vase.ai that 77% of their respondents say that it’s challenging for them to do so.
The top reasons given by the people as to what makes it difficult for them to do so were unstable internet connection (35%), challenges in communicating with their employees or team members online (31%) and difficulties accessing data they need from the office database (28%).
Another key insight from the research is that only 9% of Malaysians feel more productive when working from home.
49% say that they are able to work according to their personal schedule, while 37% respondents see it as an opportunity to spend time with their families and get the the work done at the same time.
Also, 36% of the interviewees say working from their own personal working space at home helps to be more productive.
Meanwhile, Malay Mail reported that parents are struggling to work from home as they have to juggle office work as well as taking care of their family.
Some of them even had to send their children away to be taken care of by other relatives due to their working schedule.
