Cheras Is Now Covid-19 Red Zone & This Means Entire KL Is Red Zone, Too

As the fight against Covid-19 rages on in Malaysia, Cheras is officially a red zone now.
Based on figures released by the Health Ministry (dated 12pm, 5th April), Cheras has 44 reported positive cases.
The other four districts in Kuala Lumpur, Lembah Pantai (376), Kepong (112) and Titiwangsa (90) are also Covid-19 hotspots, making the entirety of Kuala Lumpur a red zone with 622 reported cases.
Lembah Pantai also remains in the top spot in Malaysia with 376 cases, followed by Hulu Langat and Petaling districts in Selangor with 318 and 292 cases each.
Altogether the 18 red zones in Malaysia account for 2,543 of Malaysia’s 3,662 total reported Covid-19 cases. They are:
- Lembah Pantai – 376 cases
- Hulu Langat – 318 cases
- Petaling – 292 cases
- Kuching – 165 cases
- Seremban – 156 cases
- Kluang – 147 cases
- Johor Bahru – 139 cases
- Kepong – 112 cases
- Klang – 109 cases
- Gombak – 100 cases
- Titiwangsa – 90 cases
- Kinta – 84 cases
- Kota Bahru – 82 cases
- Tawau – 67 cases
- Hilir Perak – 65 cases
- Jerantut – 60 cases
- Batu Pahat – 47 cases
- Cheras – 44 cases
