Good news Malaysia!
Payments for the Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) financial assistance scheme rolled out by the government to relieve the burden of the rakyat during the Covid-19 pandemic will be distributed next week.
According to the Finance Ministry, the aid program will be given out starting Monday (April 6), instead of its original date previously set at the end of the month.
Financial payouts will be made in 2 separate phases to nearly 7 million Malaysians with a total cost of more than RM9 million.
The RM20 billion Prihatin Rakyat Economic Stimulus Package (ESP) was unveiled by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in early April in order to supplement the economy as well as the rakyat during this critical global crisis.

Malaysians are also reminded to only refer to official and validated sources and to be aware of scams asking for personal private information for the BPN aid.
