To ensure all students in Malaysia are able to continue learning from home during the Covid-19 school closure, Teach For Malaysia will joining together with YTL Foundation and FrogAsia to launch the Learn From Home Initiative.

The Learn From Home Initiative was launched on 25 March 2020 to enable online learning from home. It uses YTL Communications’ Yes network and FrogAsia‘s educational content and digital platforms.

Under this initiative, parents can register for free Yes 4G SIM cards with 40GB of data and have access to learning resources and the FrogPlay mobile app which has more than 5,000 revision quizzes for free.

Teach For Malaysia Fellows and Alumni will be volunteering their time to work with FrogAsia to produce engaging online lessons covering Mathematics, Science, and English for Standard One to Form Five.

They will be using previous teaching experiences in government schools across the country to develop these lessons. Additionally, FrogAsia already has a bank of English lessons available. All lessons will be based on the national school curriculum that students would have missed during the MCO period.

Bringing online learning to our most challenged communities resonates with Teach For Malaysia’s mission and core values.
