As we near the mid-mark of the Movement Control Order (MCO), Malaysia’s Covid-19 cases continue to climb by the day.
According to data released by the Health Ministry at 12pm on 30th March, the nation has 2,470 recorded cases of Covid-19. Petaling in Selangor leads the pack at 223 cases, followed by Lembah Pantai in Kuala Lumpur with 219 cases.
The Health Ministry also noted down areas with over 41 cases, which are deemed red zones for the virus infection.

- Hulu Langat – 209 cases
- Seremban – 108 cases
- Johor Bahru – 105 cases
- Kluang – 97 cases
- Kuching – 78 cases
- Kota Bharu – 76 cases
- Kinta – 75 cases
- Kepong – 68 cases
- Klang – 62 cases
- Gombak – 59 cases
- Titiwangsa – 57 cases
- Tawau – 57 cases
- Hilir Perak – 52 cases
Malaysia records 35 fatalities due to the infection.
It’s not all bad news though. While Malaysia still tops the list of Covid-19 cases in Southeast Asia, we’ve 388 people have recovered.
