COVID-19 Takes Its 15th Victim, Another Tabligh-Linked Death

Another Malaysian has died to COVID-19 today, bringing the death toll to 15.
According to the Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the victim is referred to as Patient 1,519.
The 71-year-old man from Melaka is believed to have been in contact with Patient 703, one of the attendees of the tabligh gathering at Sri Petaling Mosque.
Patient 1,519 has a history of chronic illness and was being treated at Sultanah Fatimah specialist hospital in Muar Johor since 18 March after developing symptoms.
He died at 5.35am this morning. Of the 15 deaths from COVID-19 so far, 9 were due to the Sri Petaling tabligh cluster.
Yesterday, the Health Ministry announced that they found 212 new cases, the biggest single-day increase in cases in Malaysia since the beginning of the outbreak.
