Lembah Pantai, Kepong, Cheras and Titiwangsa declared Coronavirus Red Zones by FT Minister

As the number of COVID-19 cases continue to rise, the Federal Territory Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa has declared four area within the Klang Valley as “coronavirus red zones”.

The areas are Lembah Pantai, Kepong, Cheras and Titiwangsa. The deployment of police, law enforcement and military personnel in these areas will increased to ensure residents comply with the Movement Control Order (MCO).

In a Facebook live broadcasted earlier today, Annuar said that 1,413 military personnel, 1,500 police officers and 1,500 enforcement officials from the local authorities were deployed to the Federal Territory for the MCO enforcement.

Lembah Pantai has recorded the second highest amount of COVID-19 cases at 90 while Petaling Jaya has the most cases with 96.

To date, the Ministry of Health has confirmed 1,306 COVID-19 cases throughout Malaysia with 10 confirmed deaths.
