Two COVID-19 Deaths Confirmed By MOH, First In Country
Two deaths have been confirmed by the Ministry of Health. These are the first fatalities due to COVID-19 within the country.
The victims are case #178 and case #358, both who unfortunately passed away today, 17 March 2020.
Case #178 was a 34-year-old Malaysian man who had attended the tabligh rally in Sri Petaling. He was diagnosed on 5 March 2020 and treated at Hospital Permai.
Case #358 was a 60-year-old Malaysian man with a chronic history. He exhibited symptoms on 7 March and was treated at the Sarawak General Hospital.
Case #358 is reportedly a pastor whose family has also tested positive for COVID-19.
