Deepavali: NO TOP-UP at toll plazas starting today

Will you be travelling during this long Deepavali weekend?

PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) said in a statement that there will be no top-up services available at toll plazas across the country starting today until Tuesday (Oct 29).

The concessions company expects a 17% increase in traffic volume to about 2 million motorists on the road over the long festive weekend compared to the usual 1.7 million vehicles on normal days.

Due to this, they regularly close their top-up lanes during festive periods to reduce traffic congestion on the roads.

Motorists are advised to top up their cards prior to their journey at other reload locations nationwide.

Several examples of top-up locations include ATMs, 24-hour convenience stores and petrol stations.

So, if you plan on driving to your destination, you better top up the balance of your Touch ‘n Go or PLUSMiles cards before embarking on your journey!

Trust us, you definitely don’t wanna be that ‘kurang baki’ guy stuck at the toll booth tying up traffic! Malunya!
