5 killed after M’sian driver rams into resting grass cutters in Thailand

Yesterday (13 August), 6 grass cutters in Songkhla, Thailand were met with the ugly scene of a car heading straight into them.
Sadly, 5 of them did not survive the oncoming vehicle and passed away while one was seriously injured.

The driver, a 30-year-old Malaysian woman, was travelling with two friends from Krabi to Hatyai when she lost control of her car.

The Myvi then skid and rammed into the grass cutters who were resting on the roadside after completing their task.
Four died on the spot, while two were rushed to the Rattaphum
Hospital where one of the victims breathed his last.
Meanwhile, the driver and passengers escaped with minor
injuries.
New Straits Times reports that the driver has been detained by Thai police.
TRP extends our condolences to the victim’s families and
loved ones.
