Though, it is known that a Myanmar contractor known as Ong and 3 of his workers have been working on strengthening the wall since a week ago.
According to Timur Laut Chief Police, Assistant Commissioner Che Zaimani Che Awang, the three bodies were found still holding onto iron piles they were working on.
The witness to the catastrophe was a gardener who heard a loud thunderous sound before he saw the retaining wall crumble down.
He then informed the owner of the resort of the incident.
All bodies are currently in the Penang Hospital Forensic Medical Department for a post-mortem.
We extend our condolences to the families of those who were lost in this landslide.
