Good Job UCSI, MSU and UM rising steadily in the QS World University Ranking 2020

It’s that time of the year again for universities to scale the ladder in the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings (QS-WUR) 2020.
Here are the Top 10 Malaysian universities ranked in the QS World University Rankings 2018-2020.
Well done to both private and public varsities that have made it to the list!
Local universities have been increasing the number of their research projects at both student and lecturer levels.
This is because QS-WUR has 6 indicators to score a place in their ranks. Among which, 40% from academic reputation, 10% employer reputation, 20% faculty/student ratio, 20% citations per faculty, and 5% for international faculty and international student ratio each.
UCSI has emerged as the best private varsity in Malaysia 2 years consecutively.
Their effort is definitely seen in QS-WUR as they jumped 39 spots to number 442 this year. Especially when they were no where in the list in 2018.
Management and Science University (MSU) also appears to have made it to the list from previously not being ranked in 2019, to being ranked 541-550 in the QS-WUR 2020.
MSU also happens to be trending in Twitterjaya (at the time of writing) as they emerge into the QS-WUR lists.

Congratulations to Management & Science University! Ranked at 541+ in the #QSWUR 2020, MSU is the TOP 51% in the WORLD!@MSUMalaysia @MohdShukriYajid @maszlee @worlduniranking https://t.co/CIknXfgZVB pic.twitter.com/0HrSAH4qUV

When the press spoke to the Vice Chancellors of many of the public universities, they revealed that being ranked in the QS-WUR was not by sheer luck.
Earning a spot in the QS-WUR was a combination of setting eyes on the goal and a lot of hard work from all faculty members.
The joy of our Malaysian universities can bee seen on their social media pages today.
We did it again, and this time even greater!
It is with great delight that we inform that University of Malaya has marked a milestone by achieving 70th place in the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings (QS-WUR) 2020, released earlier today.
Way to go, UM! pic.twitter.com/mjutgKEeuC
