Earlier today, a 15-year-old girl stabbed a Form 3 student at a school in Banting, Selangor. In the viral videos shared online, the suspect, dressed in a black shirt and red checkered pants, could be seen walking across the school with a knife in hand while the other students ran to hide.

It’s believed the suspect has not been to school for several months and had been undergoing medical treatment.

School teachers managed to calm down the suspect near the school surau before contacting the police. The police detained the suspect and confiscated a knife believed to have been used in the attack.

The victim sustained injuries to the back and shoulder, and is reportedly in a stable condition after receiving treatment at the hospital.

Kuala Langat police chief Superintendent Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi confirmed the stabbing and is expected to make an official statement soon. The motives of the suspect have not been revealed.

Many were reminded of a previous stabbing incident at a school in Bandar Utama, in which a female student lost her life.
