The 2025 Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) results were officially released yesterday, 18 June 2026, and the internet is filled with happy and congratulatory posts.
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said improvements to the Form Six ecosystem are paying off, with the national cumulative grade point average (CGPA) continuing to rise.
This was echoed by the Malaysian Examinations Council chairman, Prof Datuk Dr Md Amin Md Taff, who said that STPM 2025 recorded improvements across several indicators.
A total 1,336 candidates (3.5%) achieved a perfect CGPA of 4.00, up from 1,266 candidates in the previous year.
Additionally, 60 candidates achieved 5As and 1,285 achieved 4As. Prof Md Amin shared that 29,616 students (77.64%) obtained full pass in four or five subjects taken.

Threads user Ng Yu Yong (@yuyong0318) was recognised as an outstanding STPM achiever in the Science stream. He shared that he never regretted taking STPM and congratulated all graduates. Together with Ng, Jeremy Lim Wei Yu, Chun Meng Hao, Neoh Li Boon, Tam Juin Vern, Tan Yu Jie and Ng Zhen Hong were named the seven best Science stream students, each scoring a CGPA of 4.0.
Meanwhile, Ahmad Mursyeid Umair Darwis, Marisya Kamila Mohamad Hafiz, Poh Qing Kang, Siti Maisarah Yahya Lotfi, Wan Nur Mahirah Wan Harun, Amelie Gan Yee Wen and Nurul Danish Farhana Mohd Fauzi were named top scorers with a CGPA of 4.0 in the Social Science stream.
Hakimi Hassan was named the best Orang Asli student in the 2025 STPM, while Nanthini Ramu, who scored a perfect 4.0 CGPA, took top honours in the disabled category.
Aspiring lawyer Yeoh Chwen Yih was recognised as the best blind student, and Saw Xin Ern earned the title of best myopic student. Both also achieved a flawless 4.0 CGPA.
Despite facing obstacles and hardships, some graduates shared that they never gave up on their studies and soldiered on.
Threads user @chiaying.cy, who scored a 3.75 CGPA, admitted that STPM was not easy, but it was worth it.
Another graduate, @marissakhair, who has mental health issues, offered an uplifting story for those facing a similar situation. She pushed through and graduated with an impressive 3.84 CGPA.
There were also funny responses from parents. Threads user @mi_onsr achieved good STPM results and was asked what they got as a gift. He replied that his parents didn’t give him any rewards, but they asked him to take out the trash! Another user @yienvys._ shared that they were told to cook rice instead.
