Malaysia’s car scene is set to get a little more exciting this Merdeka month as Japan’s Legendary Liberty Walk (LBWK) Is Opening Its First Southeast Asian Store – In Malaysia!
And to put icing onto the cake – or the wildly superb looking bodykit onto the car – LBWK’s founder Wataru Kato Is coming here too in August.
Kato will be here in Malaysia to make an appearance during the grand opening event on 8 and 9 August at The Exchange TRX.
Known globally for its unmistakable styling, LBWK has become something of a cult icon among modified car enthusiasts, with its creations adorning everything from Nissan GT-Rs and Toyota Supras to Ferraris and Lamborghinis. From Tokyo streets to global car shows, Liberty Walk has become synonymous with bold JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) styling.
The new outlet will be more than just a merchandise store as the Malaysian flagship will feature a premium apparel boutique carrying official Liberty Walk clothing and merchandise, alongside a selection of collectibles aimed at enthusiasts and die-cast collectors.
Visitors can also expect a café concept as part of the experience, making the store a lifestyle destination rather than just a retail outlet.
So if you’re into modified cars, die-cast collectibles, or simply want to meet the man behind one of Japan’s most recognisable automotive brands, The Exchange TRX might just be the place to be this August.
