Trains on the Kelana Jaya LRT line came to a halt this afternoon (3 April) during peak rush hour, leaving hundreds of commuters unable to continue their journey.
RapidKL, the train operator, said in a statement that alternative train services have been activated, with trains from Putra Heights to turn back at the Universiti station.
Meanwhile, trains from Gombak will turn back at Bangsar while shuttle trains will travel back and forth between the Universiti and Bangsar stations at Platform 2.
On social media, photos and videos of a person who appears to have fallen onto the LRT tracks at Abdullah Hukum station have gone viral.
Many have shared pictures showing the current situation at several other stations as well.
The exact cause of the incident and condition of the individual who fell is not yet known.
