Family Of 3YO Girl Who Died In Ipoh Car Crash Pleads Witnesses To Share Information
A relative of the victim took to social media asking witnesses to share evidence such as dashcam footage of the accident.

A deadly traffic collision that happened last Tuesday afternoon (10 February) between a police car and Perodua Kelisa caused the death of a three-year-old girl.
Her mother, who was driving, survived the crash.
A man named Steven Wong, who claims to be the older brother of the driver and uncle to the deceased little girl, shared a video on Instagram pleading to witnesses who were at the scene of the incident to come forward and share any information they might have regarding the accident that claimed his niece’s life.
It is understood that the collision happened in Jelapang, along the Ipoh-Lumut highway.
“A police car had crashed into a Perodua Kelisa. The driver of the car was my younger sister. In the car, there was a three year old child who was my niece, who tragically died in the accident.
“We plead to whoever that may have witnessed the accident, or have any sort of evidence such as dashcam footage, please make a police report and contact us. We only want to seek justice for the victim and my sister,” he said.
According to Bernama, Ipoh chief of police Assistant Commissioner Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said in the 3.55pm incident, the three year old victim identified as Chong Zee Han died while receiving treatment, while her mother, 34-year-old Wong Mee Gee, sustained facial injuries.
He added that the accident also involved two police officers aged 42 and 48, who sustained leg injuries, a broken shoulder, and eyelid wounds.
“Early investigations found that the police patrol vehicle was en route from Lumut to Jelapang, while the woman driving the Perodua Kelisa in the opposite direction was believed to have suddenly lost control and entered the path of the police car,” he said in a statement.
Due to the accident, all four victims were transported to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh for treatment.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
