Fri-Yay For Selangor Civil Servants, Long Weekend Kicks Off Tomorrow

Selangor state has declared Friday a public holiday for its civil servants in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha which falls tomorrow.

This means their long weekend will start from Thursday, 29 June.

The announcement was made yesterday by Selangor State Secretary Datuk Haris Kasim.

The declaration is in accordance with the Holidays Act 1951 (Act 369).

This state-gazetted extra public holiday would only apply to all state government departments, agencies and local authorities and not to statutory bodies, state government subsidiary companies and private businesses.
