Recently the driver of a red Honda HRV was issued a summons by the police after two dashcam videos showed the driver being a road bully and causing an accident.

Both videos were posted on Facebook. The first video showed the HRV driver preventing another driver from making a left turn although there was ample space for the second car to move forward.

The HRV driver basically hogged the road in front of the other car. Every time the other driver tried to take the turn, the HRV driver moved forward a little to block the way again.

From another video, it can be clearly seen that the same HRV with the same licence plate swerved suddenly, seemingly hitting a bike on purpose.

TThe HRV could be seen moving out of their lane and returning to it, passing a motorcycle that had fallen against another car. This accident occurred at Jalan 21/37 on 3 May, as reported by Kosmo.

Petaling Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid stated that the HRV sports utility vehicle (SUV) driver struck a Yamaha motorcycle at roughly 7.10am, according to a video clip that lasted two minutes and nine seconds.

Both the parties have given their statement and the case was investigated in accordance with Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules of 1959 (Rule 10 LN 166/59).

“A summons has been issued against the driver of the SUV involved in the offence of failing to control the vehicle and causing an accident,” he stated.

He also reminded the people to obey the road laws to avoid such incidents. He also warned people who drive dangerously that this will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against them.
