Gordan Ramsay Praises Khairul Aming’s Attempt At His Recipe But “Spoon Too Small”

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is known to rate cooking attempts as shared on social media. There were many instances where Ramsay was seen criticising some of these efforts.
However, an attempt by local social media influencer Khairul Aming, earned praise from the celebrity chef, which is rare.
The dish is known as burnt sugar steamed pudding. The recipe is from Ramsay’s recent cookbook titled Gordon Ramsay’s Uncharted: A Culinary Adventure With 60 Recipes From Around the Globe.

Later in a duet video, Ramsay was seen making comments as Khairul Aming went through the preparation.
He also stated that the burnt sugar steamed pudding is a staple dish in New Zealand. While watching Khairul Aming’s attempt, Ramsay made a lighthearted joke about the small wooden spoon that was used to mix the batter of the pudding.
He said, “Spoon’s on me for the holiday” in the caption.
At the end of the video, he praised Khairul Aming’s attempt, saying the steamed pudding looked fluffy and delicious.
He said he would show how to make it again when he is in Malaysia next week.

Ramsay runs a restaurant in Malaysia called the Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill in Sunway City. This is Ramsay’s first restaurant in Malaysia and the first Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill outside of London.
