On 2 May, an unemployed woman was arrested at her home in Puncak Alam, Kuala Selangor, for exploiting her two teenage sons sexually after police received a report lodged by the Social Welfare Department (JKM).

According to Sinar Harian, JKM came to know about the incident through a video from an unknown individual.

The 33-year-old mother allegedly committed the sexual assaults on her 14-year-old and 12-year-old sons last year. The incident is said to have taken place in an apartment in Alam Perdana, Puncak Alam, around 8pm in November 2022.

She also directed a child porn video in a hotel in Taman Sri Pristana, Sungai Buloh, around 2am on 17 and 18 February 2022.

The woman, who has five children, pleaded not guilty today at the Sessions Court for three charges of committing physical sexual assault on her two sons.

She was charged under Sections 14(a) and 14(b) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which carries a maximum jail term of 20 years and whipping if convicted.

She was also charged under Section 5 of the same Act for directing the making of child pornography at the hotel. Upon conviction, it carries a maximum 30-year jail sentence and whipping of not less than six times.

Judge Syafeera Mohd Said did not allow bail for the woman, who was not represented, due to her familial ties to the victims, and set 26 June for mention.

Meanwhile, the woman’s acquaintance, a 22-year-old man who works as a car repossessor, was charged with committing physical sexual assault on a 15-year-old girl at the same hotel in Sungai Buloh on the same date.

He was allowed RM15,000 bail with one surety and a monthly report at the nearest police station as he needs to support his wife, who’s a housewife and is pregnant with their second child.

He was also ordered to stay away from the victims, their families and the witnesses. The court set 14 June for his case mention.
