Ever wondered what it would feel like to be a passenger on a steam engine train like the ones we can only see in movies now?

Well you may just be able to get on board soon, according to Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB).

According to reports by Bernama, KTMB corporate officer Mohamed Suhaimi Yaacob said the traditional transport will start operating in January next year.

According to Mohamed Suhaimi, this initiative is a collaboration between KTMB and Great Leisure Sdn Bhd and aims to attract both local and international crowds of tourists.

Speaking at a press conference after the signing ceremony of the railway service agreement between KTMB and Great Leisure, Bernama reported him as saying:

It promises a unique experience for passengers to enjoy the beauty of interesting tourist attractions along the railway line, especially on the forest route from Gemas, Negeri Sembilan to Tumpat, Kelantan.

We have an open deck which is indeed reserved for special occasions.
