Every animal lover’s fear is finding their beloved animal poisoned to death.

According to Instagram page @cheratinggoodboys, a total of 11 dogs have allegedly been poisoned at Pantai Cherating in Kuantan from Dec 2022 until March 2023.

The dogs allegedly died after consuming poison-laced chicken meat placed near restaurants along the beach.

As reported by the New Straits Times, an animal activist in Kampung Cherating Lama, Tunku Lydia Ilma, 38, called the poisonings “disheartening”.

She told NST:

The dogs may have arrived in Cherating as strays years ago before most of the animals were spayed and given a licence by the Kuantan City Council. They grew up here as part of a family and were cared for by the people in Cherating, but their lives had been cruelly taken.

She also told the news portal that the culprit could be someone aware of the dogs’ presence and was well-versed with the surroundings.

In a gut wrenching post by @cheratinggoodboys, the caption read:

Cheeza was loved so much by her family and their grief is unimaginable. It was eight years ago that I found her and her little sister Choco in a garbage heap across from my house and for eight years she has been a loved member of her family. Rest well Cheeza, I’m sorry this happened to you but we will do everything to seek justice for you and all the other dogs murdered this cruel and disgusting way. R.I.P Cheeza.

Several other posts on the page have highlighted similar poisoning acts.

Bella, another victim of the serial poisoner, also allegedly passed due to poisoning.

In an Instagram caption, the page wrote:

We just lost our dear Bella today. She was poisoned along with another dog from the campsite. I hope whoever did this is pleased with themselves having caused such suffering on an innocent animal. There is no excuse and I hope you face penance for this in this lifetime. R.I.P Bella. I can only hope that you went fast and that I managed to at least give you a good life and a full belly for the short time you were here.
