His aunt @keensalleh made a plea on Twitter asking for any witnesses to the accident to come forward to assist police in the investigation.

In the tragedy which struck at about 2am on 20 April, Ikhwal Adnin and his family just finished having dinner in Uptown Puchong and were walking back to their car when he was hit by a motorcyclist who ran the red light. The biker did not stop.

The aunt said they had almost reached their car when a Kawasaki RR motorcycle suddenly raced by and knocked her nephew in the process. She claimed the biker, a man, had no helmet on and sported a big figure.

“My five year old nephew was thrown across the road and as his father raced towards the motorcyclist, the man turned to look at the scene behind him and sped off,” @keensalleh shared.

Following her public plea and the family’s initiative to look for footage that could identify the biker, they managed to obtain a CCTV camera footage from a nearby Petronas petrol station.

The camera however was too far and somewhat grainy but it caught the accident.

Ikhwal Adnin had sustained severe internal injuries from the accident with doctors saying there was little hope. He was placed in the ICU and later declared brain dead. According to @keensalleh, the boy’s blood pressure had been dropping last night before she posted the latest update of his passing.

She informed that Ikhwal Adnin would be laid to rest at his father’s hometown in Tampin. She also shared that the police informed they would proceed with the investigation.
