It’s never a boring day for netizens in Malaysia, especially when it involves cats.

All eyes were on this man who brought his cat with him on his shoulder to a restaurant.

However, reactions have been mixed.

The video was shared by Twitter user @ricxxxkiddo under the caption, “Pity this brother who has something sitting on his shoulder. Plus it’s the fasting month. How could this have been missed?” indicating that the cat in the video was a ghost.

I’m sure we’re all familiar with the Thai horror film Shutter?

In the video, the man can be seen ordering something from the servers before slowly walking out of the premises.

The unusual sight caught the attention of every customer in the restaurant with many gazing in awe while some pulled out their phones to snap photos and videos of the man with his pet.

While some netizens reacted to the post with amusement, others, however, were concerned about the restaurant’s hygiene as its fur might get into the food.

Twitter user @hyungline97 also added that pets at a food establishment is a big no, especially if those pets have fur.

Pets dekat kedai makan is a big no. Especially those with fur. It doesn’t matter if it’s a halal or haram animal. Public is fine, but not kedai makan.

Meanwhile, Twitter user @saifulhisyam added that if it was a dog instead of a cat that was being paraded around as such, there would have instead been an uproar.

If someone carries a dog like that, let alone brings a service dog into a restaurant, the situation could quickly escalate into outrage. Please don’t get me wrong, I love cats. Tapi itulah, bila selari dengan kita jadi mulia. Berbeza, terus hukum berdosa.
